IN THE SPRING, we will break ground for an outdoor worship site at the far end of the Fellowship Hall. Check out the artistic rendering of the project in the narthex. One of our young adults, Justin D'Ambrosia, is doing this as his Eagle Scout project. The Property Committee and architect Benedict Dubbs have been providing some support. Most of the project will be funded by Derr Carpenter's memorial funds with the encouragement of his family. They have further agreed to supplement the project by another $1000 as long as we can raise an additional $1000, though we are hoping to do even better. If you would like to contribute, checks should be made out to Tree of Life and noted "outdoor chapel" and placed in the box on the narthex table.

APPOINTMENT BOOKS/CALENDARS NEEDED If you find yourself with 2017 appointment books or calendars with writing space for each day that you don't need, please put them in the Date Crate in the Church lobby. They are very much needed by ex-offenders in our community for keeping track of appointments in the effort to get jobs, have counseling, and try to reestablish their lives. THANK YOU!

TRAVEL-SIZE TOILETRIES NEEDED. Tree of Life has recently started working with an organization that distributes hygiene kits which give dignity to the poor by allowing them to shower and brush their teeth, simple things that we take for granted; but health and beauty items are a luxury they cannot afford. Please help by donating and asking those that you know that travel to collect and donate the following travel-size items: shampoo, conditioner, body wash/soap, razors, lotion. tooth brushes, toothpaste, wash cloths, and feminine hygiene products are also needed. Please put these items in the Date Crate in the Church lobby. THANK YOU!

HELP A PET! The Pet Care Donation Box from Social Ministry Committee is now in the Narthex. If you or someone you know is having a tough time financially providing for his/her pets, please call Sandy Brandt at 545-9779. This is a confidential service and only Sandy will know the names of those in need. As those in need contact Sandy, we will be able to post a list of pet food or care items the pets are used to eating or using. Until then, any unopened pet food is needed! Thank you!
