Kindergarten Kamp is a new program this year and provides children who are already enrolled in a morning kindergarten an opportunity to play and learn on Monday and Wednesday afternoons. Contact Nancy Cartwright, Director, at 545-3617 or This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. SILENCE OF MARY HOME has its roots in the Allison Hill section of Harrisburg, one of the poorest and most crime-ridden neighborhoods of the city of Harrisburg. We are a family home, not a group home, a shelter or an institution. Our family home provides a family environment for the "least of our brothers", those who are the most disadvantaged and at the highest risk level. We give them love, care and support, while providing them with independent living skills training, education, job opportunities, spiritual faith, counseling and other supportive services. They are in need of the following items: Diapers, baby wipes, wash clothes, shampoo (full size), razors, deodorant, toothbrushes, toothpaste, medium-size liquid laundry detergent (can be purchased at the dollar store) travel size toiletries, beans, rice, vegetables tuna, and single size food items. Thank you for your help. Any questions, please contact LuAnn Wilkinson-Doyle (717) 540-3959.

THE STEWARDSHIP COMMITTEE continues to invite members of the congregation to fill out and return the updated version of our Time and Talent form. Forms can be found on the narthex table along with the return box. This is a simple way for you to share your gifts to support the ministry of the congregation.

MANNA FOOD PANTRY supplies food, clothing and personal care items to anyone who is low income or in poverty in three areas of Harrisburg. They are in need of the following items: deodorant, shampoo, conditioner, toothpaste, tooth brushes, dental floss, mouthwash, razors, soap, body wash, diapers, toilet paper, kleenex, tampons, bandaids, neosporin. If you can donate any of these items, please put them in the Date Crate box which is in the Narthex under the bulletin board. Thank you for your generosity.

Feeding the 5000 is a program that TLC started in July 2015 and is run through the Social Ministry Committee. Once a week, on Thursday morning at 5:30 AM, a group of volunteers prepares meals for about 100 people. They are delivered to one of the many homeless shelters or soup kitchens in the area. The program aims to feed 5000 hungry people a year. Our goal for 2018 is to feed 18,000. If you would care to help with some canned goods we can always use the following (we will accept any size):

#10 can diced or crushed tomatoes
#10 can tomato sauce
#10 can any vegetable
#10 can potatoes
Penne pasta
Rotini pasta

Thank you!

PACKING HELP NEEDED - Christian Churches United (CCU) has learned of a gentleman who lives on Alexis Dr. off of Paxton Church Rd. who is looking for moving assistance (obtaining boxes and helping packing) sometime in the next month (he needs to be out of his house by May 20).  He recently lost his job due to some health issues and is moving out of the area to live with his mom, but has no support in this area to assist him with a move.  If you are able to lend a hand, please contact CCU Executive Director Darrel Reinford at 717-230-9550 for the gentleman's contact information. Thank for considering helping a neighbor in need!
